About Kin May

Turning Point

Upon graduation from Temasek Polytechnic in Hospitality and Tourism Management, came also a turning point for me. At the age of 19, I asked myself where do I want to go next?

Do I :

Option 1) Get a 9 – 5 job?(Given my vivacious character, tying me down to an office job is like caging a bird I guess, so no thank you 🙂

Option 2) Set up a business?  (With limited capital, network & experience were one of the many fears I had, so maybe in future when I saved enough but would really love to have my own business one day).

Option 3) To continue studies and pursue a degree ?? (But to study for another 3 to 5 years is like running another round of marathon, having just completed one. A good break from books would be really really good)

Unexpected Circumstances

It was then a friend of mine introduced me to Guasha Facial massage. (Helps in detox, blood circulation and firming of our sagging skin). I was really curious at that time. That was also when I met the beautician who specialises in it, Alice, whom later became one of my most respected mentors. Everything really happens for a good reason don’t you think?

I fell in love with the skill, gradually found  myself learning it and actually doing it as a hobby for my friends. I saw the improvement in my friends’ skin condition, dark circles problem and puffy eyes. The joy was priceless!

It was then I thought, why not give this a try? Since mobile beauty business involves low cost, flexible timing and most importantly, it can be considered my little own business. Something which I have been hoping to do but fears held me back. Excitedly, I began printing my little namecards and spreading news to my peers. We really cannot underestimate the power of word – of -mouth seriously. Esp when you aim to strive for best service quality, together with good products , attitude and skill, business began rolling in. Of coz, there are definitely Ups & Downs, nothing comes easy. But remember :

“Tough times don’t last, Tough People do!”

One of my fav. Steve Jobs’s mantra : Don’t give up, keep trying!

My Motto

I just hope to be the fairy god mother to more ladies (guys too) out there, giving them the magic touch just like Cinderella. Nobody is born ugly.  Like I always say, ” there is no such thing as UGLY GIRLS, just SUPERBLY LAZY ONES”.

As long as you need help in the beauty, skincare, make up sector, feel free to talk to me. Or if you need a little positive support and power in life, drop me a message too!!

“If I can do it, so can you!”

Cheers to a BEAUTIFUL YOU!!

hi natalie, hope my email has reached you. The solution to making make-up look flawless on our skin is a layer of wonderful healthy looking skin. Sometimes, its really not about how expensive the products are but more on how good the complexion really is. Of course, good quality products do make a difference 🙂
